Can anyone give me any information about prosper.com?

I have been trying to get a loan. Ater almost getting scammed by Bramalea/Bramlea finacial and by a Mr. Richie Banks out of Nigeria, I am very leary about giving out my personal information. On prosper they ask for ssn, drivers liscense number and bank account information. I think thats a lot to ask at first. If anyone has had success with this please let me know. Thanks in advance.
