Can I thaw out 80/20 (beef) and eat the next day?

Yesterday I thawed out some ground chuck and put it back in the fridge, and have decided to eat it today. Is it safe to thaw and eat the next day? The color of the meat was just fine, although I thought that just maybe it may have had a slight odor. Is a slight odor normal to a certain extent? I am thinking that it might just be in my head...Anyways, the taco dip is in the oven now, so please hurry and answer, THANKS
