Dealing With A Really Clingy Boyfriend?

Okay he wants to be together ALL the time. Like when he's hanging out with his guy friends he wants me to be there with him holding his hand and he asks for my permission for small things. He won't even go to sleep unless I'm beside him, even if I gotta do something important and come home at like 3am he waits and snuggles with me and wraps his legs around mine before he can sleep. I honestly don't mind too much because I enjoy spending time with him, and he tries really hard to make me happy, like he even bought me a 42" TV for valentines and he really doesn't ask for much in return other than attention, BUT every now and then I need some alone time. I love him and he's really sensitive, so how do I NICELY, ask him to give me a little more space WITHOUT hurting his feelings?
