In November 2007 There Was Fraud Charge To My Credit, Now Today I get a Call Saying it is Going to Collections

In late November 2007 there were series of charges on my credit card that ended up adding up to about $1200 in total. There were about 4-5 charges from companys I have never heard of. I contaced my credit card company and the money was refunded. Now today I get a call on my cell phone from this place called ultimatebet.com saying I owe them $1200 and if I do not pay them they will take me to collections. I have never used that website before. I went to it today to see what it was and it was some gambling company. Anyway what do I do now? They said on the phone simply file a police report locally and email to the email they gave to me. Do I even need to do this? Can they even take me to collections for somthing I never did and considering my bank already cleard this up for me? What do I do now?
