Freeview - aerial and/or signal problems?

In my bedroom I have a 26" TV with freeview already built in. I've been using an indoor aerial and booster for the past 6 months or so. But, I have to replace it every 2 months because it just doesn't work any more. It was from argos and they are happy to replace, but, im fed up of keep going back. None of the others in their range seem to get the signal. As it is my bedroom I am too far away from the main aerial connection. Can someone recommend an ariel that lasts for more than 2 months? Or find a way of joining the main connection?
